It 's a new year, perfect time for class to be in session, Rockstar 101. Minus the situation she encountered this year, Rihanna exemplified all things Rockstar. She not only showed it in her demeanor but she also told you in her song Rockstar 101 which is my current theme song and inspiration for this blog because there was alot of talent of L. Renae Talent Management who rocked their fame in 09' and that will be Rockin' this New Year! Not to mention all of your favorite celebrity talent who's gonna rock out it out too!!
Rihanna and my other famous male talent and everything swagger, Mr. Jay-Z, performed together on New Year's Eve, perfect duo to show you an example of Rockstar 101!
For those talent/rockstars who haven't made it to celeb status yet, there are some basic homework assignments for Rockstar 101 you should be doing in order to rock this new year!!
HOMEWORK:
Every talent should practice good eating habits and exercise regularly (myself included).
Every talent should make sure their marketing materials are up-to-date.
Actors and Actresses - make sure your headshots, demo reels, website links, voice-over demos (if you are voice over talent), etc. are current.
Models- make sure your portfolios, comp cards, and marketing materials are versatile. Not to mention, how's that runway walk? Practice makes perfect!
Singers- make sure your demos are clear, shows range, and that you are using the easiest method of listening tools when distributing samples via email.
Rappers- see Singers above.
Dancers- practice time interval audition steps (2 min, 4 min,etc) so that you will be prepared for any audition. Show versatility!
Comedians- work on time interval stand up shows for auditions. Some of the most successful comedic actors started out doing stand up! Have a range of topics!
That includes Rockstar 101! Only my talent can get the in-depth inside scoop! ;-) At least you have the basics of how to Rock this New Year!
